Here is a video of our 2023 Christmas greetings, along with amazing pictures from our hunts. We also unpack a bit of what we actually do as guide-outfitters.
What do we do?
We get asked all the time what we do. The short answer is, “We’re guide outfitters”. But what does that actually mean?
We recently had some time to sit down and reflect on the past few seasons, and this is just a snapshot:
We are organizers, we are planners, we are grocery shoppers and packers.
We are horse breeders, feeders, we are horse care takers, trainers and farriers.
We are secretaries and bookkeepers, we are logistics and taxi drivers.
We are builders, we are cooks, we are bakers.
We are making sure your grub is packed for ten days.
We are making sure the grub is packed… for three months!
We are making sure you have what you need for being in the middle of nowhere.
We are camp makers and trail cutters.
We are patchers, we are sewers, we are cleaners.
We are long haul truck drivers, We are pilots, we are boat captains
We’re the only wrench in town.
We are trail bosses, pony chasers, middle of night tie down planers.
We are celebrators, we are counsellors, we are huggers and a shoulder to whoever needs one.
We are early mornings,
Late nights, sometimes all nighters.
We are coffee drinkers
We are stand besiders, we are got your backers.
We are first aiders, story tellers, listeners, calmers and new friend makers.
We are so tired, we’re done! BUT we are gonna gut it outers.
We are hard work, but we are having fun.
We are childhood dream fulfillers.
We are slam makers.
We are family. We are guides. We are hunters.
What do we do it for?
We do it for the lifestyle, we do it for family
We do it for the relationship and the friendship with crew and clients.
We do it for people.
To all our crew, clients past, present and future , who make it possible for us to do what we love,
Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
