Most of our hunts are moderately physical to very physical type of hunts. And so the better the better shape that you can be in, the more you’re going to enjoy your hunt.
Some good ways to prepare yourself for a hunt in our area: The best way to get ready for a backpack hunt is to actually put a pack on and go hiking. Find a mountainside or a hillside, put some weight in your pack and actually do some hiking.
If that’s not feasible for you because of where you live, even if you can find a creek draw or something and put some weight in the pack and start going. Or a set of stairs, something like that. Any sort of exercise that you can do, just to get your legs going and build up your lung capacity would be beneficial.
For our horseback hunts, if guys can spend some time on a horse before the hunt, it would be beneficial for you. It gets your body broke into it a little bit and gets you used to riding a horse.
Our horses excellent. We’ve got some really good horses and we’ve got an experienced crew that’s going to help you. So if you’ve never done a horseback hunt or never really been around horses, it’s something that we can help you out with.
